DC BD 285 - Bookplate of W. Bun~o on front flyleaf. Stamp of Royal Engineer's Library on title page. Underneath this is the word 'London' stamped in purple. Stamp of Royal Engineer's Library blocked in gilt on front cover.
DC BD 285 - Darwin's article on Geology occupies pp. 156-195. Owing to a printing error pp. 171-190 were cancelled and are here replaced by the cancellans. There are additional inserts as 96a, 96b and an un-numbered leaf at p. 98. One of the maps is bound in as a double-plate rather than a folded one. Library loans notice on front endpaper, cancelled out by hand.
DC BD 285 - Rebound in half-brown morocco, morocco grain cloth boards. Upper cover and spine blocked in blind and gilt. Lower cover blocked in blind. Raised bands.
