Edition Notes

Holograph, signed.

William Lloyd Garrison sends his autograph. Garrison writes: "The denial of equal rights on account of sex is as irrational and monstrous as it has been in this country as to the color of the skin. In 'the good time coming' this great wrong will be redressed." Garrison is sorry to hear that Mrs. Cowing has been so seriously ill; he will try to visit her in a few days.

Accompanied by an envelope addressed to: Mrs. Cornelius Cowing, West Roxbury, Mass.
