Bound volume (500 pages) of telegrams and ciphers (1922 October 27-1923 February 10) between U.S. secretary of state, Charles Evans Hughes, and members of the American mission observing the conference, Joseph C. Grew, Richard Washburn Child, and Mark L. Bristol. Messages relating to U.S. interest in the conference called to form a peace treaty with Turkey. The messages contain detailed reports on the various sessions of the Conference committees and reveal diplomatic manuevering between the Allied Powers. Some of the leaders mentioned most frequently include George Nathaniel Curzon, marquis of Curzon, Benito Mussolini, Ismet Pasha (Ismet Īnönü), and Raymond Poincaré.
