"From a pamphlet, "The confessions of Nat Turner, the leader of the late insurrection in Southampton, VA. As fully and voluntarily made to Thomas R. Gray." Published by Thomas R. Gray in Baltimore in 1831. The etchings are drawn and printed by D.R. Wakefield. The text is set in 12 pt. Plantin. All the printing was done by the artist at his press in Goole, East Yorkshire ... The binding is by Gray Parrot. There are 50 copies printed"--Colophon.
