Extremely painstakingly researched. Unfortunately dry as dust read...but explosive conclusions. Hitler was first mega stadium performer. He never performed without a fee and was very careful to extract maximum merchandising value from each performance.
He tailored his act to suit the audience and often ran into problems with contradictions between performances delivered to workers rallies and soirées to wealthy industrialists.
People paid to go to Nuremberg rallies and front row seats were very expensive..the performers paid for their uniforms and torches.
History regards him as dictator with a inhumane philosophy. Seems he was a very successful beer hall performer who was able amp his act up to take advantage of the rapidly emerging mass communication technologies. Nazism was just the hook to hang his act on.
