Leaves are canvas with sheets pasted on recto. Some are also with sheets pasted on verso.
Leaves [131-152] are lined pages with inventory inscriptions written in ink on recto and verso on [131-152], but with [136-152] left blank.
With inscription: "Materials + plant in this book as used in Printing Office revised up to date Mar 3/03." [date is crossed out].
With inscription: "Aug /08. This book contains specimens of all founts to this date. Weights varying, would all have to be reweighed for future valuation."
Date based on inscriptions.
Several specimens are crossed through with pencil and/or with other notes.
Bound in half maroon morocco and maroon bubble-grain cloth. Spine and edges of morocco blocked in blind. With marbled endpapers.
Includes wood-engraved images and ornaments.
