Sixty-eight engravings, each signed in pencil by Timothy Cole, mounted on a folded sheet of art paper, and accompanied by a guard sheet with descriptive letterpress.
Printed below each engraving: This impression, taken by hand on Japan paper, is one of one hundred and twenty-five copies printed by me from the original blocks and plates in the year 1892. -- Professional proof-printers for wood-engravers. [Signed in pencil]: J.C. Bauer.
Publisher's statement on the back of each folded sheet.
Each portfolio has separate t.p.; title printed in green within a wreath.
Plate no. 68 is an engraving after a portrait painting by Wyatt Eaton of Cole holding a violin and is signed: Yours truly Timothy Cole.
LC copy has all leaves laid loose in a box. Forms part of the personal library materials in the Joseph and Elizabeth Robins Pennell Collection.
