On 'Batrachomyomachia' Brewer has note: 'A "Storm in a Teacup"; much ado about nothing. The word means 'The Battle of the Frogs and Mice' and is the name of a mock heroic Greek epic once attributed to Homer but probably by Pigres of Caria'; B.L. has note:'Translated in verse, and illustrated with notes, by Samuel Wesley'; NUC calls the work: 'An imitation of Homer'.
