With the same wood-engraved plates (with some slight differences in colours and letterpress captions) as used in a "New edition" of this title published in 1861 by Routledge, Warne, and Routledge. See McLean D 0190.

MASS copy 1: Bound in bright blue bead-grain cloth blocked in gold and blind. Upper cover with red paper onlay. With ownership inscription dated 1861: "H. N. Foley.". With binder's ticket: "Bound by Burn 37 & 38 Kirby St.".

MASS copy 2: Bound in navy blue bead-grain cloth blocked in gold and blind in the same design and with the same red paper onlay as copy 1. Spine re-backed.
