A series of 17 letters originally published in the 'Massachusetts Gazette and Post-boy'.

The first eight letters were first published in book form as 'The present state of the province of Massachusetts Bay' New York, 1775, and reissued in that year as 'The origin of the American contest with Great-Britain'.

With a half-title.
