"This fly-leaf was signed by Mark Twain in 1906 in anticipation of the present definitive edition of his works"--Prefixed leaf. Author signed himself "S.L. Clemens, Mark Twain."
Published in 2 issues. One has matching bindings of beige paper and royal blue cloth, with paper labels pasted on spine. Another is bound in matching half morroco with vol. 1 having a page of original manuscript material in Twain's own hand tipped in.
LC has set no. 600, with additional autograph signature of Albert Bigelow Paine. Incomplete: v. 36-37 wanting, as is the case with most sets.
