"Signed on behalf of the committee by Anthony Benezet, Isaac Zane. 29th 9th month, 1778. The foregoing proposals are earnestly recommended to the attention and care of Friends ... 10th month 2d, 1778. James Pemberton, clerk of said meeting this year."--p. 2

Followed, on p. [3], by: At a Yearly Meeting for Pennsylvania, New-Jersey, &c. held in Philadelphia, by adjournment from the 28th day of the 9th month to the 3d of the 10th month inclusive, 1789. ... Friends are again earnestly desired ... to encourage and promote schools ... as recommended by this Meeting in the year 1778; and the more effectually to revive the subject, five hundred copies of the said minute are directed to be printed and sent down ... Nicholas Waln, clerk to the meeting this year
