This volume provides the history, lineages and imsignia of all Army Special Operations Forces to include Civil Affairs, Psychological Operations, Rangers, Army Special Forces (green berets), Special Operations Aviation, Medical, Training, Chemical, and Intelligence elements and organizations. It is introduced by Lieutenant General William P. Yarborough, the father of the green beret, with comments from Generals Carl Stiner and James J. Lindsay, and Colonel Aaron Bank, former commander of the first U.S. Army Special Forces Group (Airborne). The author is a retires Special Forces officer who has been inducted as a Distinguished Member of the 1st Special Forces Regiment.
