Professedly based on the memoranda of J.S. (J. Sanders), "methodized" by another. The original publisher, John Dunton, considered the narrative fictitious and ascribed it to the "methodizer" Richard Sault. Cf. Dunton, J., Life and errors, 1818, v. 1, p. 154, and DNB, v. 17, p. 803
