Edition Notes

A re-writing of the two parts of Paine's Rights of man, with specific references to Edmund Burke, Parliament, and the French Revolution omitted.

The preface, signed "Thomas Paine, Luxemburgh, Paris, May 19. 1795." is spurious.

In this edition the second line of the imprint reads: "Printed and sold by D. Webster," with "a British exile." appearing on the third line.
