Verse, in thirty-four stanzas, describing the storm which occurred on June 6, 1767, and which killed Martin Wilcox and James Rice [variously, Royce] at Goshen, Sarah Larkim [variously, Larkum] at Hartford, Joseph Young and Curtis Chuet [variously, Chewt] at Falmouth, Maine, and William Burt of Boston; first line: What mournful news is this we hear.

Another edition, with slight textual variations and eight additional stanzas, Bristol B2821, has title and author: Relation of the melancholy death of six young persons, who were kill'd by lightning in the month of June, 1767 ... By Consider Tiffany, of Hartland, in Connecticut.

American Antiquarian Society copy inscribed on verso with the names of Hannah Jacobs, John Bixby, and Hervey Park, of Sutton, Mass., and is dated in ms., May 12th, 1811.

Text in three columns; printed area measures 24.1 x 22.2 cm.
