Edition Notes
The only known copy, held by the American Antiquarian Society, lacks the title page, p. 25-34, and all after p. 38. Title assumed from p. v of "To the reader" in which Bolles asserts that he presented "... this following Answer of confutation ... to a general association of elders held at Hartford, the 15. of the 3d. month, 1730 [i.e., 1731, new style] ..."
Caption title: Touching God's creating the world, and all things of nothing.
The type ornament at head of p. 1 is one used by James Franklin at this time.
"A few words respecting the sufferings of those eight persons that were so cruelly whipt at Norwich ... July 26. 1725 ..."-- p. [35]-38+
