Yaşar Kemal

Kemal Sadık Gökçeli, veya bilinen adıyla Yaşar Kemal (6 Ekim 1923, Hemite, Osmaniye– 28 Şubat 2015, İstanbul), Türk roman ve hikâye yazarı, şair ve aktivisttir. Türk edebiyatının en önde gelen yazarlarından biri olarak kabul edilen Yaşar Kemal, yaşamı boyunca pek çok ödül almış ve Nobel Edebiyat Ödülü'ne aday gösterilmiştir. En ünlü eseri, yaklaşık 32 yılda tamamladığı İnce Memed roman serisidir.


Kemal Sadık Gökçeli, better known as Yaşar Kemal (October 6, 1923, Hemite, Osmaniye – February 28, 2015, Istanbul), was a Turkish novelist, short story writer, poet, and activist. Considered one of the most prominent writers in Turkish literature, Yaşar Kemal received numerous awards throughout his life and was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature. His most famous work is the İnce Memed (Memed, My Hawk) series of novels, which he completed over a period of approximately 32 years.
