Tim LaHaye (co-author of the best-selling Left Behind series) was the Sunday evening preacher at Christian Fellowship Church in Northern Virginia when Walt Mahan finished this prophetic novel. LaHaye was already a successful author having penned many non-fiction works. He also was quite knowledgeable in the area of Bible prophecy.
LaHaye had stated that he did not believe in fiction as an effective means of spreading the truth of the Gospel. With that as a background, Mr. Mahan asked Pastor LaHaye if he would review his completed manuscript, which had not been published as yet. After several discussions, LaHaye was given the manuscript.
It wasn't long after these events that the Left Behind series hit the bookshelves and made such an enormous impact around the world.
"The Unveiling of End-Time Events" is a thriller that brings alive the events prophesied in the Bible. Its main characters include a Christian who disappears in the Rapture, his Jewish friend who is left behind, the Antichrist, and the False Prophet. A professional book reviewer (after reading this novel) stated, "This novel brings alive the end time events in a way I have never felt before."
It also provides Scripture references to the events to help the reader relate what is happening to apocalyptic events.
