Ralph A. Hanson (b. 1940) is an expert on educational measurement and assessment. He is the author and coauthor of numerous texts on education, including Empowering the Second-Language Classroom: Putting the Parts Together (1997). He holds a bachelor's degree from Shimer College and a doctorate in education from the University of Chicago, where he did his dissertation on the development of verbal intelligence.
