Jon Cotner

Jon Cotner is a poet and walk artist based in New York City. He is best known for his guided walks around New York City and environs, including an all-night walk around Fire Island and the "Spontaneous Society" project which requires participants to use provided phrases to strike up conversations with strangers. Cotner and collaborator Andy Fitch are the authors of Ten Walks, Two Talks (2010), an innovative work of dialogical poetry, in addition to numerous other works and papers. Cotner teaches creative writing at the Pratt Institute. (from Shimer College Wiki)
