Stuart Dowty

Stuart Dowty (b. 1942) is a Michigan-based attorney and lifelong political activist. Since 2009 he has served as the chairman of the Washtenaw County Democratic Party. Dowty received his undergraduate education at Shimer College, where he enrolled through the school's unique program of early entrance to college, and received his legal education from the University of Michigan. In the 1970s, he coauthored several texts on China with Janet Goldwasser, the best-known being Huan-Ying: Workers' China (1975). (from Shimer College Wiki)
