Millie LePearl McGhee-Morris was born and raised in the small plantation town of McComb, Mississippi. As an adult, she decided to get an education. At age 47 she learned to read, then went on to attend city colleges. She taught elementary school for twelve years. She established a non-profit organization called Young Talented Achievers, Inc. to help other people achieve their career goals.
