Karen Sewell

Karen Sewell received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and a Master of Education degree from McNeese State University. She was a teacher and special education consultant for twenty years in Louisiana. Her experience with special-needs students allowed her to develop her own techniques to benefit students with autism. In 1998 she published her first book, "Breakthroughs: How to Reach Students with Autism."

Sewell lives in Birmingham, Alabama.
