The nature of cyanide in gold mill tailings was explained. The conventional methods used for treating gold mill wastes were: evaporation, natural degredation, alkaline chlotination, INCO SO2- air, acidification and biological, hydrogen peroxide and iron sulphide processes. These procedures were discussed and conclusions were determined. Some questions and answers were included.
