Dr JA Laycock was the local doctor who compiled a number of volumes containing selective transcriptions of the local Parish Registers. The originals are held in the Reference Library in Burnley, Lancashire, Yorkshire, UK. In particular the Laycock and Duckworth families are documented. In 1906 he created "Records of the Laycocks of Sabden, Clitheroe and the Parish of Kildwick" a beautuful document in copper plate hand writing on 386 pages. The document lists entries in local parish registers, compiled family trees, details of wills etc. A comprehensive compilation. From this document he created multiple trees for the Laycock family and publikshed them in 1911 in a volume of Bradford Antiquaries.
