A very interesting collection of short stories of a kind, wise and gentle mans life. He records the family tree at the begining of the book as far back as 1743. This man was my great grandfather and I'm very proud to be his great granddaughter! He was a man who believed deeply in God and showed it in the way he lived and treated people.

Edition Notes
The following is a note at the begining of the book by the publisher:
"It has been a pleasure for me to work with Mr. R. M. Long Sr. in the compilation and publication of this work.
The articles contained within these pages are true stories of incidents in his long life, full of interesting and enriching experiences. He tells me that he has proof of every story and that every incident is one that actually happened to him at some time or other.
To the members of his immediate family and to the numerous relatives to whom this volume will be a treasured keepsake, may I say that you have a book such as few people ever have the privilege of possessing and one that will become dearer to you as the years pass on.
