Edition Notes
Publication date suggested by STC.
Because this has no date of issue and its heading and imprint show similarities to STC 7788, 7790 and 7791, this may well be the 1538 proclamation cited only in MS. at Steele 170--STC. Steele identifies this item as an edition of the proclamation of February 2, 1542 (Steele 220).
Because of fish scarcity, temporarily dispenses with laws of abstinence from milk, butter, eggs, and cheese during Lent.
