Willaim Taylor's Bioscope Show, (Travelling Cinema) has been referred to as the 'Ultimae' Bioscope' Show. William was the son of the Ilkeston Giant, who stood 7 feet 8 and a half inches tall in his socks. He was born in 1853 and died at the age of 69 in 1922. A feature of the very ornate show front was the massive Marenghi Fair Organ, the largest and most expensive ever nade at the time, illuminated by 4,000 coloured lights which changed colour with the action of the music. Neither show front or organ have survived. William Taylor was only the second showman to show moving pictures on the fairgrounds.
