This is a Genealogical Record of the Akin Family starting in 1662 with the "David Akin of Newport Rhode Island" that spans nine generations of the David Akin Family to 1970. Justus H. Akin just so happens to be 5th generation where Daphne started her research of the Family Geneology. The Auhtor, Daphne May Brownell is my cousin, who spent over a decade of research and writing this collection of Akin Family History. It is also the origins of a much, much larger electronic Database of Akin Cousins on Ancestry.com that is named "David Akin of Newport Rhode Island" and it is managed by Mr. Robert L. Akin of Texas.
