Performed in Dublin in 1749 as 'Jack the giant queller'.
An enlarged version of the full text, with 51 songs, was published in Brooke's collected works in London in 1778 as 'Little John and the giants', and a shorter version with 34 songs in his poetical works in Dublin in 1792 as 'Jack the giant queller'.
