I haven't read it yet but I am going to buy it, as Ephraim Blaine is my great x5 grandfather and was the Commissary General of the Revolutionary War. A review says it is "a revealing record of the material resources and manpower necessary for supplying the soldiers encamped at Valley Forge and Wilmington, Delaware." All history books I have ever read leave him out completely as if he didn't exist. Yet he was a friend of George Washington, went to a lot of trouble and danger and is credited with saving many thousands from starvation during the winter when Valley Forge was besieged by the British. This is one of many, many examples of forgotten history.
