Edition Notes

Four Dutch exchange students from the Agricultural University in Wageningen, the Netherlands, studied the landscape of the IJsselmeerpolders in 1985 to begin the project. In 1986, the 2nd phase of the project was undertaken in the U.S., concentrating on the Columbia Basin Landscape Planning Project in Central Washington State. The four Dutch students collaborated with two American students at WSU, Donna Hall and Charles Tucker. The project was analyzed and synthesized in this report, forming a comparative conclusion to the former research. The four Dutch students also wrote a project report entitled Landscape and planning in the IJsselmeerpolders and the Columbia Basin Project.

Includes bibliographical references (p. 68-74).
