Written in rebuttal of Graf Philipp von Mansfeld's pamphlet "Warhafftiger gegruntter Kegenbericht der Magdeburgischen Stadhalters und heimverordenten Rethe wider Anthoni Schenitz", 1538 countering Schenitz's argument which appeared in his "Warhafftiger Bericht Antonij Schenitz wie sich die Sachen zwisschen dem Cardinal von Meintz etc. und seinem Bruder Hansen Schenitz zugetragen ... wird", 1538. Anton Schenitz defends the innocence of his brother who was hanged in 1534 and exposes the complicity of Archbishop Albert of Brandenburg in Hans Schenitz's execution. Cf. Luther, M.
