The Langford Legacy tells of the Langford family and their arrival in the new world as early as 1653 from England and their migration from Maryland to North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Texas. It picks up James Langford (I) who died in 1777 during the American Revolution and follows his son James (II) born in 1770 in Johnston Co., N.C. and fought in the War of 1812 and left a legacy of eleven children James W. Langford, Feseby Lettie Langford Buice, Winifred Langford Pelt, Lewis B. Langford, William Hemphill Langford, Abner F. Langford, Benjamin Madison Langford, Dr. Septimus Washington Langford, Young Marion Langford of Upshur County, Texas & Francis Franklin (Frank) Langford of Upshur County, Texas, each of whom are explored in depth as well as all known descendants. Much information is included on their service during the Civil War. Many photographs are shown of the family in each state.
