Motiues to mortification. A most zealous and deuout lamentation of Blessed Anselmus, sometime Arch-bishop of Canterbury, for the losse of his soules virginity. A meditation of S. Bernard, concerning the passion and sufferings of Iesus Christ. The authours deprecation or petition for himselfe.

Signatures: A-Ff¹² Gg⁶ (Gg6 blank).
"Most devovt and diuine meditations of Saint Bernard concerning the knowledge of humane condition" (pt. [2]) has special t.p. dated 1632.
Neither part is by Saint Bernard: the first piece in pt. [2] is a translation of Meditationes de interiori homine, also wrongly ascribed to Hugh of St. Victor.
Another issue, with altered edition statement, is styled the "4th ed.".
