The letters of Hutchinson, Oliver and others on the disturbances in Massachusetts were addressed to persons in England during the years 1767-1769. Copies of them were transmitted by Benjamin Franklin to the Massachusetts House of representatives, resulting in the adoption by that body of an address to the king, asking him for the removal of Hutchinson and Oliver from office.
