Sumnjivo lice: The Suspicious Face Arabic Edition presents Branislav Nusic’s classic Serbian satire to Arabic-speaking readers. A sharp comedy about bureaucracy, suspicion, power, and social absurdity, the work remains one of the most important satirical texts in Serbian literary heritage.

Presented by award-winning author Joseph Sultan, this Arabic edition introduces a major Serbian classic to readers across the Arab world and Gulf countries. As part of Joseph Sultan’s cultural work connected with Serbia, Serbian literature, and Arabic translation, the book helps build literary bridges between Serbia and Arabic-speaking audiences.

Nusic’s satire speaks beyond its original setting, making this edition valuable for readers interested in political comedy, theatre, social criticism, Serbian classics, and Balkan literature in Arabic.
