Title within woodcut border (McKerrow, Borders, no. 54; Devices, no. 105) with Richard Grafton's mark on sill; Tottel was Grafton's son in law and successor to his printing material.

Another edition of STC 9603, described in STC (2nd ed.) as "an alphabetical abridgement of selected cases ranging in time from Edward I through Edward IV, in part derived from the MS. of 9599 [yearbooks of Edward III] and from 23238 [Statham's abridgement of cases to the end of Henry VI], and sometimes attributed to Sir William Callow."

Bound in sprinkled calf (17th century?), decorated in blind with fillets, remains of gilt on some edges, rebacked.

Bound in contemporary calf decorated in blind with fillets and center medallion stamp, some spine and back repairs. With vellum guards of rubricated manuscript waste. Initial M on front guard; former owner's name in contemporary hand (illegible) and initials M, B and A, separately, on title page. With contemporary marginal annotations, and some random markings thoughout. With this is bound STC 821 (Beale T119), Articuli ad narrationes (1547)
