Edition Notes

Dorothy Day was an American journalist, social activist, and political radical. She helped establish the "Catholic Worker Movement." John Stanley was a former novice at Gethsemani Abbey. He worked for a number of years with Dorothy Day and the Catholic Worker Movement. Later on he took issue with Dorothy Day's support for Distributist philosophy and voluntary works of charity rather than a Communist economic model.
