Would you commit murder for a secret?

Lord Brooksby inherited his title in the bitter wake of his father’s untimely death. The late Lord Brooksby was crushed while walking alone in the ruins of Bungay Castle. What at first glance appeared to be a tragic accident, his son believes was the work of a vicious killer. Now he fears the same fate will befall him if he tries to pursue his father’s dream of restoring the castle ruins.

Torn between duty to his late father, and his own self-preservation, Lord Brooksby turns to Colonel Bainbridge in the hope he will be able to solve the riddle of the castle’s miscreant.

Somewhere deep within the shadowy battlements of Bungay Castle, a phantom stalks, striking when people least expect it. The townspeople speak of a demon, of a legend come to life, but Colonel Bainbridge is convinced the ghost is a living, breathing person. No less evil for being a flesh and blood man.
