"The first and second editions of this work were divided into two parts; the first related to the power and duty of justices composing the Court of General Sessions of the Peace. This court having been abolished, the laws which were the subject of its jurisdiction, exclusively, are left out, and the rest ... are, in this edition, incorporated with the latter, and formed into one alphabetical collection; to which have been added such laws, passed since 1802, as were applicable to the work."--Advertisement concerning this third edition, p. [4]. Dated: October, 1810.
