"Edwards' genuine edition."
The 1st edition, published anonymously in 1807, under title, "The proceedings and correspondence, upon the subject of the inquiry into the conduct of Her Royal Highness the Princess of Wales," was suppressed. The London edition, 1813, of which the present edition is a reprint, contains the matter of the 1807 edition, preceded by " A narrative of the recent events [etc.]" and followed by "A statement of facts [etc.]"
Described in the "Advertisement," p. [iii] as a "genuine ... copy of the suppressed book, as it was printed ... in 1807, under the direction of the late Mr. Perceval."
