Referenced in "Mad World:Evelyn Waugh and the Secrets of Brideshead" by Paula Byrne (HarperCollins c2010, first US edition. "He dedicated it 'To Hugh Lygon, to whom I am indebted for the seed of truth from which this seed of fantasy has grown'. McKenna she describes as "a gentleman of leisure who wrote popular fiction about aristocratic life", page 57. Hugh Lygon, she says, was Waugh's model for Sebastian Flyte's character.
