Edition Notes
Undated report signed by Thomas Telford and addressed to Major General Sir Howard Douglas, Bart., Lieut.-Governor of New Brunswick, 1823-1831.
Although the report is undated, Douglas served as Lieut.-Governor only between 1823 and Feb. 1831, and the paper on which the report is lithographed is countermarked "J. Whatman 1829", leading to the conjecture that the report was probably printed between 1829 and 1831.
The map is titled "Proposed canal from Bay Verte to Cumberland Basin" and has imprint: C.J.N. [?] Grey, lith. 310 Strand.
