Reference: Fleming, P.L. Upper Canadian imprints, 1801-1841, no. 394.

"One of the questions was whether the Court of King's Bench could 'be legally holden' in the absence of the chief justice. On 16 June Judge Willis had declared it could not; here the attorney general answers in the affirmative. Judge Willis was dismissed on 26 June"--Fleming.
