Consists of: the results of the ecclesiastical council held at Petersham Sept. 11th, 1816; a memorial by some of the inhabitants of Petersham dated Petersham, Sept. 11, 1816; a sermon by Foster entitled The character of the churl and of the liberal man contrasted; and correspondence between Foster and the town's committee, all dealing with Foster's attempts to obtain a better salary or leave his pastorate.
