"ABSTRACT Introduction: The depression disorder is the most psychological disorder in the world. The antidepressant drugs are the most convention effective treatment for depression disorder. One of their complications is functional sexual disorder that specially had seen in SSRI drugs usage. This study as a analytical and cross-sectional and quasi-experimental design with aim of assignment the prevalence of sexual dysfunction associated with antidepressant drug among older patients' with depression disorder under mechanisms and treatments of drug therapy. Materials and methods: This study performed on 50 depressant patients (18 males and 32 females) with between the ages of 30-73 years old. The objective data were Demographic and Change in Sexual Functioning Questionnaire (CSFQ) questionnaires and had shown depression after interview on based diagnostic criteria DSM-IV-TR and had a SSRI drugs usage history. These patients shouldn't have psychogenic drugs usage or psychosis or sexual disorders history. Results: The mean age was 51.11+7.48 in50 studied cases. The youngest was 30 years old and the oldest was 73 years old. The most cases were in the range of 30-45 years’ old that was include 23 cases (46%). 45 cases (90%) married. Generally, 38 cases (76%) have functional sexual disorder after SSRI drugs usage. Conclusion: The 76% of patients have functional sexual disorder. These results can be helpful in devising preventive policies, determining high role of pharmacological treatment such as SSRI Antidepressant on depressant patients specially among older patients and use the pharmacological treatment with low side effect and planning for psychological interventions to treatment of depression."
