Collection of oral history and literature on the origins of Tewo County (Tib. The-bo rdzong) in Gannan Prefecture, Gansu Province, and its people; includes folktales, proverbs, religious and other customs, description of related pilgrimage sites and other sacred places, etc.; includes oratory speeches for various occasions, and biographical information on local figures. The region is also known as the traditional Tibetan region of Amdo (Tib. A-mdo or "Mdo-smad").
