To commemorate its four years of opening, the Sant'Ana Museum inaugurates the exhibition "The Girl of Ana" that exalts the figure of the child Mary, the daughter of Saint Anna who was her mother, mentor and guide, before becoming the Virgin Mary. Most of the sacred polychrome sculptures carved in wood are anonymous, except one, which is attributed to Mestre Piranga, one of the most important artists of the Brazilian Baroque. The carved wood sculptures, based on terracotta, with polychrome and decorated date from the 18th century to the 20th century.
